In February, we inaugurated TARGET's new health center among the indigenous Guarani-Kaiowá people in the village of Arroyo-Corá in southwestern Brazil. Following the launch, the initial phase has now been successfully completed. The initial treatment figures are very good.

The team offers the 250 families general medical, psychological, dental and nutritional services.

185 general medical examinations and treatments;
469 appointments with nursing services;
136 nutritional consultations;
77 psychological consultations;
585 vaccinations by the nursing staff

As a reminder, the ward has a dentist's, doctor's and sterilization room, two bathrooms, several treatment rooms, a small kitchen and a utility room. Many patients were treated between February and May.

The figures show that the TARGET infirmary has been very well received. People have confidence in the medical team's specialists. Healthcare has thus reached a new level of quality. The next largest town is 40 kilometers away, so medical care was previously more than difficult. TARGET board member Sophie Weber inaugurated the new infirmary in February in memory of her stepfather and TARGET founder Rüdiger Nehberg.
