Expanded educational brochure for an end to FGM

In Guinea-Bissau, too, we can continue to support the awareness campaign for an end to genital mutilation and are simply relieved about this.

The expanded educational brochure, which was initiated by the dedicated team of imams and nurses, has been printed and is currently in the hands of women and young people in particular for the first time. It is based on TARGET's Golden Book, the sermon template for imams on the protection of girls Power of Religion. What is new compared to the previous brochure is that the consequences of female genital mutilation are depicted in clear drawings. This was the particular concern of the education teams, based on their experiences during the village visits.

The A5 booklet is intended for generous distribution and should help to persuade people to end this millennia-old tradition.
