In April 2010, Annette and Rüdiger received the "Weitsichtpreis", endowed with 5,000 euros, from Dieter Glogowski, organizer of the annual Weitsicht multivision festival, in the presence of 600 guests in the large hall of the Darmstadtium in Darmstadt. He wanted to draw attention to the importance of TARGET's strategy of cooperation with Islam and support its work.
"You have created the most important prerequisite for ending thousands of years of tradition." Dieter symbolically presented the award with a valuable old money belt, which he brought back from one of his many trips to Tibet. He himself has been wholeheartedly committed to an orphanage in Ladakh for several years. The Weitsichtpreis has been awarded since 1997. Once before, in 2002, Rüdiger's many years of work for indigenous peoples were honored with the Weitsichtpreis in Frankfurt.
