Silver medal for loyal service to the nation (2011)

On February 4, 2011, Hamburg's First Mayor Christoph Ahlhaus presented the "Medal for Faithful Service to the People" in silver to around 100 guests in the Kaisersaal of City Hall. It was established in 1953 to honor people who have distinguished themselves through outstanding achievements for the common good.

From the laudatory speech by Prof. Dr. Gerd-Winand Imeyer, Honorary Consul General of Bulgaria: "It is to Rüdiger Nehberg's credit that he brought the right personalities to the conference table at the Al-Azhar Conference Center at the right time in 2006. He initiated a change in thinking and thus brought humanity a big step forward. He is a great and peaceful revolutionary who non-violently protects and saves the lives of millions of girls and women."
