Dear supporters, dear interested parties,
The time has come, our 2020 annual letter is here! On 28 pages, we present our work of the last 12 months with many pictures and how we have used the donations entrusted to us.
This year we are dedicating the annual letter - how could it be otherwise - to TARGET's founder, human rights activist, survival specialist, adventurer, pioneer and visionary Rüdiger Nehberg. He passed away on April 1, 2020. The 2020 annual letter shows his commitment, a cross-section of his incredible life - and it shows how things will continue. Because with TARGET e. V., Rüdiger Nehberg leaves behind "his legacy for the benefit of people and nature, for an end to female genital mutilation and jungle protection" - as he wrote in the dedication of his last book DEM MUT IST KEINE GEFACHSEN GEWACHSEN, which was published 5 days after his death. His wife Annette, daughter Sophie and son Roman continue his work.
The past few months have also presented us with major challenges due to the coronavirus, particularly in our health projects for the Waiãpi and our gynaecology and obstetrics clinic for girls and women affected by female genital mutilation.
