Kassel: Protection of Somali girls from genital mutilation
On September 30, 2022, a gathering of Somali men and women took place at the Haus der Sozialwirtschaft in Kassel. The event, initiated by TARGET e. V., was organized by the Somali association Easy Care.

Every year, the TARGET community gets creative and raises funds with its own ideas to support TARGET's projects for indigenous protection and an end to female genital mutilation.
On Monday, the most respected contemporary scholar in the Islamic world passed away: Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi. We remember him with great gratitude with his pioneering fatwa for an intact future for the girls of today and future generations.

Roman Weber is a board member of TARGET e. V. and heads the association. He was 17 when he first visited the Amazon rainforest with Rüdiger and Annette Nehberg for TARGET's health projects with the indigenous Waiãpi people.
